Designed to be a perfect mix of comfort and performance, 1000 Mile 3 Season Merino Wool Walking Socks are mid-weight socks with a carefully chosen fibre blend and exactingly-placed padded zones, ensuring a complete system of protection and cushioning for active people. A padded heel extends up to cover the Achilles tendon, while other padding shields the ankle bones, toes and ball of the foot.
The soft, natural merino wool mix has top and arch venting, allowing the skin of the foot to breathe, wick moisture and maintain an even temperature. Arch bracing creates a custom fit with full support to keep the foot stable. Smooth Linked Toes for smooth seems help to reduce rubbing and irritation.

The socks are well made with comfortable feet, they do not itch. Unfortunately, I find them rather tight on the leg at the top and I don't have well-developed calves and ankles, I have had to fold them right over so the ribbed top is as low as possible. Real shame.
