Very soft, fine knit and warm, just what I need

I'm giving these socks a 5* rating as I’ve bought several pairs over the last 3/4 years. I love that they're long (calf or full length), wool and have soft tops but I agree with 2 other reviewers, the toe seams are not adequately sewn. On my first pairs the seam laddered and I had to repair them - at £9 a pair you have to make do and mend. On my subsequent pairs, 2 this year so far, I’ve over sewn the toes before even wearing them. Wish there were more bright colours too particularly now rolled up jeans are in vogue.

They stay up beautifully and don't dig into your legs. I have peripheral neuropathy in the lower legs and feet and need to keep those parts of my body as warm as possible. i am a little concerned about the toe caps as they are not reinforced as much as I think they ought to have been. If they go into holes I will have to sew them up, which I can do as they do not have a defined heal.

These are the same style and make of socks I bought 2 years ago. They are absolutely the best for warmth comfort and longevity of ANY socks I have ever worn - that is why I have bought more. I am 70 years old.

Quite clearly a size 4 foot will not fit these socks with the heel in the correct place.
